This video features Mark Bernadino, University of Virginia Head Swimming Coach; featuring Ed Moses, World Record Holder and Olympic Gold and Silver Medallist. Coach Bernadino presents the dryland circuit he used in the training of Ed Moses and the UVA breaststrokers featuring more than 70 different exercises! Coach Bernadino used this circuit to develop strength, endurance, flexibility, and agility with the goal of increasing agility, power, balance, and range-of-motion for more successful breaststroke swimming. Coach Bernadino provides detailed instruction and rationale for each exercise with demonstration from World Record Holder and Olympic Gold and Silver Medallist Ed Moses, and former UVA breaststroker Justin Capuco. Moses begins with a segment on stretches in which he narrates and demonstrates several breaststroke specific stretching techniques that he attributes to his World Record Breaststroke success. Coach Bernadino then offers his expertise in the three additional segments of the video. Starting with Flexibility, Body Weight, and Strength Training Exercises, Bernadino shows a wide range of both traditional and innovative exercises designed for strength development. In segments 3 and 4: Plyometric Exercises and Medicine Ball Routine, demonstrations and explanations complete this highly informative video. 44 minutes. 2002. ISBN 1-56404-836-5.
