William L. Alsop is an associate professor and program coordinator for Sport Management in the School of Physical Education, West Virginia University. He received his EdD in 1972 from West Virginia University, where he was an assistant professor. In 1980 he founded the sport management program at West Virginia University while serving as department chair for Sport and Exercise Studies, which evolved into the Department of Physical Education and Sport Studies where he was division chair. His involvement in professional organizations includes many presentations and leadership responsibilities at the state, district, and national levels. From 1976 through 1979, he was president of the West Virginia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (WVAH-PERD). He received both the Honor Award (1982) and the Ray O. Duncan Award for distinguished service (1994) from that organization. Geoffrey C. Fuller is an editor and writer who has won awards for his fiction and nonfiction. In 1998 he won an Arts Fellowship from West Virginia Arts and Humanities. His work has been published in Dirt Bike Magazine, Kestrel, Now and Then, and Writer's Digest, as well as many journalistic and literary publications over the past 10 years.
