About the Author Daniel McDonald is head teaching professional at Hidden Valley Golf Center in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as head of golf instruction in the continuing education department at Dekalb College in Atlanta. He is also a former head professional at Atlanta's prestigious East Lake Country Club. In more than 18 years as a playing and teaching pro, McDonald has given more than 15,000 individual lessons. Although he seldom plays more than once a week, McDonald has remained competitive on mini-tours by using the drills in this book. For the past 12 years, McDonald has also conducted seminars on personal growth in which he demonstrates the need for skill development in order to achieve success. Daniel McDonald lives in Clarkston, Georgia, with his wife, Jaquie. His leisure activities include meditation and dancing. Richard A. Goodman, MD, MPH, is an author, manager, medical editor, and practicing physician at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. His extensive writing and editing experience includes serving as editor of a well-known publication in the field of epidemiology; he has edited more than 2000 articles and has authored or co-authored more than 70 papers, chapters, and invited publications. Dr. Goodman lives in Decatur, Georgia, with his wife, Deborah Kowal, his son, Zachary, and his daughter, Brooke.
