Controls cough and relieves chest congestion Pedi Cough is a combination of herbs acting on the respiratory tract and rectifying the abnormalities of the digestive system, since impairment of the digestive system is considered to be responsible for various types of cough. Several herbs like Zingiber officinale (Nagara), Piper longum (Pippali), Curcuma longa (Haridra) and Piper nigrum (Marich) tackle the root cause of cough by correcting the impairment of digestive system and hence controlling the vitiation of the doshas (the biological types of the body). Curcuma longa, in addition protects the respiratory system against environmental allergens. Piper nigrum also exerts strengthening effect on the respiratory system.
