CLEAR VIEW AUTOMOTIVE DEFROSTER KITS WITH AUTO TIMER Don't pay high dealer costs for a new rear window with defroster when you can install the defroster yourself for so much less! OE-quality kits can be used to install a rear defroster where one currently does not exist or replace an existing damaged rear window defroster Kits match the look and performance of factory-installed defrosters, melting snow and ice in seconds for safe winter driving Each kit provides full rear window coverage with an attractive factory look. Multiple lines of strong self-adhesive trim-to-fit copper heating elements (grids) come on pre-spaced rolls for easy and accurate application. Brass side-mounted bus bars are covered with black plastic molding strips for an attractive finished look. The touch activated timing switch—shuts off the defroster manually or automatically after 12 minutes—mounts in or under the dash and features an LED indicator when activated. Kits include all components needed for installation—a pre-assembled wiring harness, electronic timing switch, connectors, fuses, grids, bus bars and covers plus fully-illustrated step-by-step instructions for easy installation. The Tab Repair Kit (sold separately; SKU# 52ZX5362W) uses a highly-conductive silver adhesive to reattach separated main power tabs back on defrosters making the electrical and structural connection in one simple operation. The Grid Repair Kit (sold separately; SKU# 52ZX5363U) repairs horizontal defroster grid lines which may have become damaged during the installation process, during interior repairs or from abrasive cleaning solutions. HOW TO CHOOSE THE CLEAR VIEW KIT THAT'S RIGHT FOR YOU! Finding the right kit for your vehicle is easy…just follow these 3 steps! Determine Defroster Area. Take a good look at your vehicle's rear window to establish the area for the Clear View defroster. Measure the Glass. Measure to the edges of the glass and select a Clear View Kit that is at least 1-3" (3-8 cm) smaller in vertical height than the window's maximum vertical height. The width measurement is less critical as the defroster is trimmed during installation. Observe the minimum and maximum defroster widths. Select the Clear View Kit. Select the corresponding kit number that fits within the area measured in Step 2.
