FraPerDeck Fraction/Decimal/Percent Card Game
Educational Card Deck utilizing a variety of simple card games to reinforce the relationship between fractions, decimals and percentages. -Based on accepted theories of learning and knowledge acquisition. -Compatible with any standardized instructional format for mathematics. -Compliant with academic standards of all 50 states -Can be used at all grade levels. -Promotes a non-threatening atmosphere of learning and fun. FraPerDECK is flexible and can be adapted to any grade level. This is accomplished by adding or deleting certain cards. Three conversion charts are provided as a guideline for adapting the deck to beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. FraPerDECK does not attempt to explain the mathematical "whys" of decimals, percentages or fractions. It does, however, reinforce the relationship of "equality", (10% = .10 = 1/10), by incorporating the relationships into a game. Students are not asked to memorize. They simply learn the values by repeated exposure and by the game objectives. The game objectives give the student a "reason for knowing" the various equivalents. FraPerDECK is designed to promote a non-threatening atmosphere of learning and fun.
