Kano proudly introduces the SureVAULT 800 RAID 5 desktop storage
solution featuring the latest in FireWire 800 plug and play
connectivity. With its fast FireWire 800 connection, SureVAULT 800
allows users more flexibility and throughput over traditional
FireWire 400 devices. SureVAULT 800 is hot-pluggable and is
immediately recognized by Mac OS X and Windows XP without the need
for additional software. With it's combination FireWire 800,
FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 connections, the SureVAULT 800 has the
flexibility to work with virtually any Mac or PC.
Because the SureVAULT 800 RAID 5 solution stripes data to three disk
drives simultaneously, it delivers your data to disc faster than a
single drive, thus delivering optimized performance. The SureVAULT
800 does this all at the block level so it works with all types of
data and partition schemes. With transfer rates of up to
800Mbits/sec, SureVAULT 800 can accommodate the most disc intensive
applications such as digital imaging, pre-press and post-production
projects.
In case of drive failure, SureVAULT 800 automatically switches
operations to the remaining drives and alerts you visually and
audibly that a drive has failed. SureVAULT's 800 advanced
management allows you to hot-swap drives from the RAID array
without shutting down your desktop. If a drive failure occurs in
your SureVAULT 800, simply slide out the failed drive, slide in a
replacement Kano SureDRIVE and the SureVAULT 800 automatically
rebuilds your data and immediately returns your SureVAULT 800 to a
fully protected RAID-5 status. SureVAULT 800 is simple to use and
is affordable insurance for your important data!
